Have you ever considered what would happen should the World Wide Web suddenly fall over? For many of you this would be an erie thought and for some it would spell doom and destruction to life as we know it. The stock exchange would see billions gone in just a moment, planes would fall from the sky, and looters would ravage through homes and stores. How would we ever survive, you will ask.

This is what the book Worm: The first digital world war written by Mark Bowden explores in a cleverly exciting way. This book does not talk about enigin scam, it is a book about a conflicker worm which is a malign software that originated in the Ukraine and spread throughout the web quickly in 2008-2009.

This worm is able to install itself invisibly, send out clones, and shut down burglar alarms, among other dreadful things. It propagates itself through its clones and gets into any unprotected computer that it can find.

The worm invariably turns any infected computer into what can only be called a ’zombie’. What Bowden’s story centers on is the worm’s ability to not only infect computers but also to summon all the zombie computers to do its bidding. They are the worm’s digital army and number in the tens of millions and has the ability to send the web crashing.

The story continues with how this worm was discovered and does so with such attack and ace that readers will find it difficult to put this book down. A group of high level internet experts calling themselves ’The Cabal'try to formulate a way to counter the worm.

With his thriller style of writing, Bowden has caused readers to think whether or not this could really happen, and if we are prepared for it. There is not much more to be said about this book without giving away the whole story. It is simply a very interesting and intriguing read.

Many of today’s business people are concerned about the state of economics and its significance to the corporate world. So a piece of literature for all those European people that bears great importance for realizing the concept of Europe’s financial world is the work by Age Bakker called ‘The Liberalization of Capital Movement in Europe’. It is a well written work that presents you to your freedoms in Europe and dlivers you plenty of information on what the legal framework is should you decide to invest through the European Union. This piece of work is not only aimed at professionals and big companies such as Crown Oil UK - it is also a great policy reviewing material for people looking to expand their business and financial initiatives in the European Union.

It is the concern of people to move their money and it is the desire of the States to ensure those people are free to do so!

The book focuses on policies undertaken by different states in the EU in order to promote the free movement of money throughout the Union. It also explores the historical development of free movement of capital and thus enlightens the EU citizen on the legal framework that he can operate within when undertaking an investment or an opportunity to take advantage of an investment. This piece of economic literature is also important in terms of describing the freedom as a whole in the Union - it explores concepts related to the investment movements such as taxation of income and free movement of services.

This great piece of literature is written in an accessible language making in possible for non-academics to develop a sense of understanding over the legal approaches in the EU. Using various tables and charts, the author had made sure that people can get the clear picture on how to move their money from one country to another, how to invest it without considering the attitude of the domestic laws of the host state and how to make the best of their financial initiatives.

So if you are a business person who seeks enlargement in the EU, then this piece of literature would be your best friend - professional and accessible, the work by Age Bakker is the best guide through the legal framework of European investments.

Lotto the game of luck and therefore a game of lottery genre has been not only popular and successful but has become a household name of sorts. The game has naturally spread its flavor across the internet and become a favorite online game too. Books on the nuances of this online game and popular game therefore come naturally. One such book is titled “The Lotto Black Book” and one of the best in this aspect. People today swear by this book as their winning strategy.

Larry Blair the author of this book has discovered the science behind how lotto really works. He has researched extensively before drawing his scientific conclusions. There is the amount of luck as in any lottery game but he concludes that there is more of calculation, and predictive ones at that, that this game involves.

The book describes in easy manner, for the player or reader, the steps to get a better probability of winning the game. He has given a certain formula into which the reader would be guided to place his or her own findings of the number sequence that comes up in a game. The author claims a 47.8 percent probability rate of winning a game using this formula of his. There is however the probability of the other side also and one is warned not to despair. Authenticity of the formula as per the author is better realized after a week’s play of the game using his given formula.

The book and its contents holds good for lotto players all over the world and not restricted to any specific rule of play. Just simple steps are described in the book and it’s quite easy to follow them and learn them by heart to be applied whenever one plays the game of lotto. It is a must be for any lotto fanatic for whom a good win at lotto takes precedence over finding a good red diesel Glasgow dealer or other worries of everyday life!

There is also a section which covers all the aspects on careers in writing and editing, resume writing with meaningful tips and advice.

Lisa and Jonathan Price are professional web writers and editors who have also worked with some top brand names like Hewlett-Packard, Disney’s and America Online.

Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on forums – Amazon being one of them, with their many forum discussions being the place where ideas from both amateur and professional writers are mixed together for all to see – about Young Adult fiction. People seem to be confused, and by people I mainly mean adults. What I mean is, a lot of adults are asking if they should be reading YA fiction, as if there are rules on what an individual can and cannot read…

Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on forums – Amazon being one of them, with their many forum discussions being the place where ideas from both amateur and professional writers are mixed together for all to see – about Young Adult fiction. People seem to be confused, and by people I mainly mean adults. What I mean is, a lot of adults are asking if they should be reading YA fiction, as if there are rules on what an individual can and cannot read. It’s ridiculous, but unsurprising: for some time the boundaries between adult fiction and YA fiction have bee blurred.

Some books that have been responsible for blurring: well, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time for one. Its main protagonist is a 15 year-old boy, and the general story is written in a very simple, child-like way. From the combination of these two aspects, a lot of people at first considered the book to to be a children’s story. But the book, which was eventually a bestseller, is far from a book just for teenagers. Interesting and imaginative, it’s one of the most original novels in years and a book which I think everyone should read at least once (I have read it 5 times…and I don’t think I am the exception).

The truth is that this kind of transgressive fiction is neither YA or purely for adults. And to my mind, it’s sad that we have to pigeon-hole fiction in such as way as to make it appear one or the other. Then again, that’s hardly surprising. Literature is still, in many ways, very new, and categories represent a logical way for readers to find the writers they would most be into.

Why can’t I have a novel about Physiotherapy Jobs and teenagers on work experience and have it both for teens and adults? And why can’t I write books featuring children which are just as interesting for adults to read as those who are the same age as the protagonists in them? Answer: that is a question that we are answering and addressing now, and hopefully it won’t be too much longer before books break out of their categories and we can all start relaxing a bit (note: some people are already doing this with some success. The reason I have brought it up here is that it is not the norm, yet, and we have some way to go until bookstores start promoting this kind of transgressive fiction).

It escapes me, even now after the success of the Bourne series, how Robert Ludlum’s name still remains somewhat enigmatic; his books are storming thrillers laced with an ingenuity which makes them not only compelling but unique, and his research is so on point that you could take every fact mentioned in his novels, double-check it and still have it come out clean. In a word, Ludlum is the master, and if you’re a fan then his books are continued by another author. We won’t get into that here, however, because this is all about his first book, The Bourne Identity.

The book which started it all off is a special one for two reasons: 1) it did extremely well for a debut book and 2) Before it Ludlum had been an actor and playwright with a growing desire to expand his craft.

A brief summary, for those who need it: a man is discovered floating in the sea. He is brought back to shore only just alive, and nursed back to health by an alcoholic – and largely unlikable – doctor who would have little success looking for Locum GP Jobs in the current economic climate.

From that moment on it’s a riot of blood and violence, weaved into a stunningly graphic plot by Ludlum.

If you want to read a thriller with great descriptive writing, and a book which still stands out from the pack all these years later, read this timeless classic. If you want to read more then why not pick up the other books in the series too?

The master of mystical story telling Paulo Coelho comes out with another piece of work which his followers will easily lap up and read. As usual the storyline of the book has a hunt for enlightenment, to gain access to knowledge which can only be acquired through introspection and perseverance. Brida is not necessarily a masterpiece like the Alchemist but an enjoyable read with its central character being a seemingly naive nymphet who is perplexed by her sixth sense which repeatedly takes her back to thoughts which she does not seem to be able to piece together. She embarks on a journey to discover the meaning of these shadows, which seems to haunt her, by looking for a mentor who can help her fulfill her desire to understand what may be magic.

Magus is the spiritual guru who leaves her to experience some supernatural incidents to guide her into a soul searching path where she comes across a witch by the name of Wicca. Wicca opens the door to an unknown world where there is magical potions, chants and other remnants of witchcraft which Brida gets to experience first hand. Bringing her closer to a reality which Brida is still not aware of but is unknowingly becoming more and more entrenched in, Magus is awaiting his soulmate who he instantly recognized in Brida.

The storyline does not have many hues to it other than grayish annotations of mysticism and witchcraft with prolonged paragraphs dedicated to giving details of the ceremonies that the witches conduct. It may lose you somewhere in between but for the longing to know whether Brida recognizes her soulmate the way he has recognized her. An end which is quite unexpected leaving you satiated in case you are not a person interested in the art of witchcraft but capable of arousing deep curiosity of the paranormal side of our world for those who care to know.

This book is a definite buy, and if you can spend money on buying military kit insurance then you can for this book too.

When I Am Legend arrived in 1954, it kick-started probably the greatest of all horror engines: the undead nightmare machine. A combination of zombie science – treated in a serious, ultra doom-filled way – and psychological character science, the book tells the story of one man left in the world against a plague of rampaging vampires that will stop at nothing to feast on him.

An interesting point about the book is that although the creatures are referred to as vampires, they have more in common with the zombies of recent years that anything related to the blood sucking creatures which would later go on to find a more classic fame.

Even if you haven’t heard of the book, you’ll be aware of the story: one man on his own fending for his life. But more interestingly, rather than concentrating on the cure, the book focusses more on the question of how you would remain sane in a world where literally everything is out to get you. It is this central theme which dominates, sending the lone man on a journey fraught with horror at every turn, both inside his mind and in the outside world where the walking demons tread.

I Am Legend is a short book that packs a serious punch. At 200 pages you could be forgiven for thinking it a light read. The truth is anything but. Serious and poignant, I Am Legend is a literary heavyweight that continues to punch well above its weight, outshining copies by its pure originality and scientific approach.

If you’ve had a boring day working with hr management software , read this book and think yourself luck just to be alive.
